The policy

Jacket Industries, LLC (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the bartender.live website and the bartender.live iOS application (together, the “Service”).

We don’t collect any personal data from you. We count what happens in the bar — never who you are.

The app asks for no account, no name, no email. Your bar and your favorites are stored on your device and in your own iCloud, where we cannot read them. The only thing the Service keeps is a tally of anonymous usage events, described plainly below.

The particulars

• Usage counts (the app and this website). The app, its widget, and this site send simple first-party events to our own server — things like “a drink page was opened,” “the daily suggestion was shuffled,” or “a page on this site was viewed.” An event carries the event name, where in the app it happened, the drink or bottle involved, the app version, and (on the web) the referring page. It carries no account, no name, no device identifier, no advertising identifier, and no location — and our analytics store no IP address. Two people opening the same recipe are indistinguishable to us, which is the point: the tally tells us which features earn their keep, not who used them.
• Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive no card numbers and no identities — only Apple’s anonymous confirmation that a purchase is valid.
• iCloud sync uses your own iCloud account under Apple’s terms. The contents of your bar sync between your devices without passing through any server of ours.
• Amazon links. The app’s “Buy on Amazon” buttons open Amazon with our affiliate tag, which may earn the bar a small commission at no cost to you. From the moment you land there, Amazon’s own privacy policy applies — we learn only that the button was tapped, never what you did on Amazon.
• Third-party trackers: none. No advertising networks, no analytics services, no cookies, no fingerprinting — in the app or on the site. The tally above is ours alone, on our own server.
